Campus Bursar

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance business partner and financial management of the school.
  • Participate in campus management meetings and brand campus meetings
  • Drive and manage the annual opex and capex budget process at the school.
  • Guiding and advising the school management team on expenditure
  • Analyse management accounts monthly and report findings to school management
  • Training of all staff on financial policies and procedures
  • Overseeing procurement and accounts payable.
  • Ensuring that discounts and bursaries are accurate and that processes are adhered to.
  • Overseeing debt management and collections.
  • Accurate and complete income and expenses tracked on budget trackers daily
  • Accurate and timely submission of CAPEX applications.
  • Monitoring school event budgets.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations.
  • Review and submit accurate billing information to Group Shared Services.
  • Preparation and submission of month end journals
  • Timely financial reporting and month-end closing.
  • Collections from parents for school events, grade camps and sports tours.
  • Reviewing payroll and meeting with principals to discuss any findings

Education: 

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Bookkeeping diploma preferable.

Experience: 

  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
  • Bookkeeping / accounting knowledge is required.
