Job Purpose

The Cellphone Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while driving sales of mobile devices, accessories, contracts, and value-added services. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, providing product knowledge, and creating a positive in-store experience that builds loyalty and repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with enquiries in a friendly, professional manner
• Sell mobile phones, accessories, airtime, data, and contract packages
• Explain product features, pricing, promotions, and service options clearly and confidently
• Upsell and cross-sell relevant products and services to meet sales targets
• Process sales transactions accurately, including contracts, upgrades, and activations
• Handle cash, card, and electronic payments responsibly
• Resolve basic customer queries or complaints and escalate when necessary
• Maintain attractive product displays and ensure the store is clean and well organised
• Keep up to date with new products, network offerings, and promotions
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
• Previous retail sales experience in a cellular environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
